Accountability....

I'm going to start Weight Watchers. I have to. This extra 25 pounds that I've been hanging onto for the past 5 months isn't going to fall off on its own. I gained 50 lbs with Tyler...UGH! I gained 30 with Hailey, which is still alot. And it was the spring before I got prego with Tyler that I was finally back to my old size again - ALMOST. So this time, the first 15 came off right away, the next 10 was off within a few more weeks. But this second 25 if definitely hanging on for dear life. Shawn and I started walking in the mornings two weeks ago, and we did it 4 out of 5 mornings. But then last week we slacked off again and didn't walk at all. I have no issues with snacking all day and topping it off with a bowl of ice cream at night. In fact, that's all I think about all day! I LOVE FOOD! I am not a diet person, never have been. I LOVE pasta and I LOVE ice cream & cookies. But I need to do something and that something has got to keep me accountable for what I'm doing. Therefore, I'm going to do the Online Weight Watcher's program. Shawn is going to join me too. That way we can eat what we want, but have a guide to help us with portion control and hopefully once we start eating better and exercising more, we will be filled with more energy to be more efficient parents to our kids. Can't hurt, right?? Right now I have no will power, so hopefully I can get myself motivated to stick to this. Please pray for me!! Because I'm going to be dreaming about a GINORMOUS bowl of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream tonight!!!

Afternoon at Bop & Grams

The other day Hailey mentioned that she wanted to see Bop & Gram, so we couldn't deprive her of the sweet request. We called Bop & Gram and made plans to go see them right away! They invited us up for an afternoon of burgers, swings & fun!! Here's the COOL DUDE hanging out in the swing.... Hailey is sporting the "Princess Wave" while Tyler looks on in admiration. This boy does not take his eyes off his sister! She is the light of his world!!!

Goin down the slide....She's really been into role playing and using her imagination lately. She would get on the big girl swing for 2 seconds, then go climb up the slide, do something we couldn't figure out, say "I have to eat now" pretend like she was picking food off the side of the wood and go "CHOMP", the slide down the slide. It was the weirdest thing, but she totally knew what she was doing!
Nick & Zach's friend Kyle brought over his Boss's dog who they found and looked quite malnourished.

Big Boy!!

Hailey was Gram's girl tonight. She wouldn't let anyone else do anything with her. And she was Gram's shadow. One time she was "helping" Gram bring strawberries out to Uncle Nick, and Hailey got to talking and Gram went back inside without her. When Hailey realized Gram had left her, she went to the door with a pouty face of sheer disappointment as if to say, "Gram, why did you leave me??"

On the way home, Hailey was exhausted, but looked at me and said, "Mommy, I really miss my Gram" then a few seconds later, "Mommy, I really miss my Bop too!"

Somewhere in the house she found a "Piggy" that Gram let her bring home. She is now up in bed clutching onto her Piggy, which has now joined the ranks of Blanky and Monkey. We'll see if Piggy makes it to our bed in the morning and how long he stays one of her bedtime friends.

P.S. Piggy did make his way into our bedroom this morning. Hailey came waddling in at 4am with Blanky, Monkey, and Piggy clutched in her hands. We'll see if Piggy becomes a staple bed time necessity or if he's just a fair weather friend....stay tuned!

Updates on Big Boy

Tyler is growing SOOOO fast. I haven't had him weighed recently. But we went shopping this weekend and had to purchase our 5 month old 12-18 month outfits for the fall. Infact, that's the size he has on today...and it fits him!!! He has 2 teeth on the bottom of his mouth, which I've been trying to catch on camera. Here's an attempt....if you look closely you can see a little white dot.
He's eating a bowl of cereal and fruit in the morning and a veggie and a fruit for dinner. We are trying to get him to drink more juice...he's hit or miss with the juice. Here's Hailey trying to get him to drink his juice.
He absolutely LOVES this fruit net that allows us to put fresh fruit in a net and he can gnaw on it and suck out the juices. He likes cantelope, watermelon, pears, mangos and plums. YUMMO!

PLAY TIME!!! Tyler is doing GREAT with sitting up. He's got a great base with that big ole toosh and thick thighs!!! Here are some great pictures of him playing in his toy dome. He's doing great rolling from front to back and lifting his head up. He does a rocking thing, but can't quite get up on all fours. But he gets around if he needs to get his toys that are out of his reach.

Hailey got married

Last week Cassie informed me that Hailey and Gabe got married. In fact, they got married several times. They have been walking around holding hands and calling each other their best friends. When we came home to tell Shawn, he said, "Why didn't I get invited to the wedding? I'm supposed to walk you down the aisle!" Hailey said, "You can't, You already married." With her new Belle cell phone she calls Gabe all the time. Teenager in training. This weekend when we would say, "Hailey, is Daddy your best friend?" She'd say, "No, Gabe's my best friend."

OK...it's a little extravegant. But we are always looking for an excuse for celebrating. So today Hailey is 2 1/2. Our little angel is getting so big!! I can't believe it. So we had a little party for her at Nana's. Just an excuse to eat cupcakes and get some presents. Who doesn't like an excuse for cupcakes and gifts? We were saying it was her half birthday. She was saying, "today is my half happy day."
