Due to the OVERWHELMING reaction from the kids on Christmas day, we delayed opening gifts with the Mom-Mom & Dad-Dad till the next day. Also, Johnny wanted to wait for Becky to arrive because he wanted her to see the kids open the gifts from them.
Mom-Mom seemed to really enjoy the time with the kids...as always! Must be fun to be a Grandma....love on them as long as you want, and then give them back! HA HA HA! We always appreciate the help and love that the kids love all their grandparents!

AWWW...the cute couple! (Love the shrit, Becky!)

Hailey received a Tag Reader for Christmas. It wasn't very glamorous on Christmas morning, but once she figured it out she loved it! She's been sitting for hours reading stories with it. I highly recommend it. It teaches a lot of pre-reading skills. (of course there's nothing better than being read to be a real person, cuddled up with good book!)

Hailey was excited to be able to give her gift to Becky. She pretty much unwrapped it and pulled it out of the box for her!! HA HA

OK...Hailey was very specific about what she asked Santa for. She wanted all the Princes to go with her Princesses, she wanted Mulan and Pocohantas (the 2 princesses she didn't have), a baby bathtub and a Sleeping Beauty Baby to go in the bathtub. She pretty much stuck with that the whole season, until right toward the end when Tinkerbell came out, she said she wanted a Tinkerbell doll. Well, Santa asked Johnny & Becky if they would help out in that area. So Friday morning, before the exchange with John & Becky, Hailey was sitting on the recliner admiring all her new toys and it occurred to her, "Mommy, Santa brought me everything I asked for, but he didn't get me Tinkerbell."
At first, I didn't know how to feel. 1-she got SOO much stuff, I don't want her to be a demading kid, but 2-why would Santa forget that one thing since he remember everything else (even if it was an afterthought!) So I explained to her that some of her other family members had trouble deciding what to get her, so they called Santa and he shared his list with everyone else. And so far we still hadn't opened the gifts from Mom-Mom, Dad-Dad, Johnny, Becky, or Nana & Pappy yet. Maybe Santa asked them to bring her Tinkerbell.
She got her Tinkerbell!!

How else should we handle it? These kids have EVERYTHING! More than enough! So I guess our next task as parents is to teach moderation and that we don't get EVERYTHING we ask for and just be thankful and appreciative of what we do get. I don't want her to become greedy! (Although we are in the WRONG family to teach moderation!! I don't think Daddy knows the meaning of the word...)
Back to the fun...Tyler is flooded with gifts again...What should we play with next?

OK...Aunt Melanie, I belive you may have a little competition nipping at your heels for favorite aunt! Hailey has fallen in LOVE with Becky....and SOMEBODY gave her a PRINCESS TENT for Christmas....

Isn't this what EVERY young princess needs?? (I know it's surely what I needed to complete the interior design theme I had going in the Living Room....)

OK...and every Prince too!!
