Well, the Bumbo is for 3-18 months, but Tyler is doing great in his, and Hailey is just enjoying the fact that both she and Tyler have one. Madison just returned the purple one that she was borrowing from Hailey today. Hailey brought it in from the car and said "Look Baby Tyler, I have my Bumbo too!" So she put the Bumbos side by side, grabbed Tyler's toys, and asked if Tyler could play in his Bumbo. When I got the camera out, Hailey grabbed Tyler's hand and said "Cheese". However, when Hailey says cheese, she makes terrible faces, so it's hard to get a picture of her actually smiling and looking at the camera at the same time!
Tyler was so excited when Hailey started showing him his toys....this was the first time Tyler actually gripped his rattle and held onto it for a while. He's amazing!
Shawn went to the library today and got a few books and CDs for Hailey. One of the CD's - Greg & Steve "Big Fun" is a CD that Hailey listens to at school. There are two songs on there - "The Movement Medley" and "New Zoo Review" that the kids at school love and dance to. So we were listening to the CD while Shawn was reading Hailey the library books. She heard her songs come on and jumped off the couch and started doing the dance, dancing circles around the coffee table. For example, they do the pony, march, do the elephant dance, the penguin dance, etc. It was hilarious to watch her dancing and singing to her songs. It's also sweet to hear her sing to her lullaby music when she goes to bed too. She loves music!Another cute story is when we were in Halmark picking out Mother's Day cards, she was pointing out cards that she liked and telling me what animals/characters that were on the cards. All of a sudden she breaks out into "Jesus Loves Me" and sang pretty much all the words and was in pretty good tune for a 2 year old! The other people in the store were looking at her smiling. She's got such a sweet soul. When she sees the cross on her wall or wears her cross necklace, she talks about how Jesus was on the cross and now he lives in her heart. I'm not sure how much of that she truly understands, but I'm thrilled at the opporunity we have to teach her about Jesus and how much He truly loves her!
