Day at the Park & Zoo with Nana!!

Today we went to the Ben's Red Swings with Nana. Shawn went to play golf with Uncle Jason & his brother Jeff. When the left Hailey said, "Where daddy go?" When I explained it to her, she said, "Just the boys". So when I told her that we were going to go to the park & zoo with Nana, she said, "Just the girls?!!?" Yes Hailey, just the girls (and baby Tyler too!) Salisbury Zoo has a zoo, which honestly is less than impressive, but it is a zoo none the less and it's something fun to take the kids to. Outside the zoo is Ben's Red Swings, which is a very large playground. When we first got to the park, Hailey dragged Nana through the playground, just checking everything out, but not stopping longer than a few seconds at anything in particular. We went there a few times when she was one, but haven't been since she can remember. As she was walking around with Nana, she told her "I'm so excited!" How sweet....I love her innocence!
Once we started toward the zoo, Hailey was a sponge, soaking in everything! Every time we stopped at an exibit, she'd stop for about 30 seconds, then she'd drag Nana away and say, "I wanna see something else" The best exibit was the monkeys - there were two of them! Hailey kept saying she wanted to see more....we will definitely have to take her to the DC Zoo very soon...she will love the more exciting animals.They did have pretty peacocks...there was a peacock running loose throughout the zoo and then there was a blackbird chasing after it and kept nipping it in the behind!! Too funny. The peacock started screeching at one point and Hailey wanted to see what was making that sound. She's so funny!! After the zoo, we had packed a lunch and Nana had made PBJs for us to eat. Hailey sat at the picnic table like a big girl and ate her lunch of PBJ, Fritos and Oreos....what a fun treat! As she was sitting beside her Nana, she put her arm around her and said, "You are my friend, Nana!" Thanks for hanging out with us today, Nana!
