POTTY TRAINING!!!

Diapers are expensive! Especially when you have more than one child wearing them. Shawn is determined to get Hailey potty trained. Ever since Tyler arrived, Shawn gives Hailey her bath and I give Tyler his. Right before bath time, he's been making a game out of Hailey sitting on the "big girl potty" by having her sit on his lap, then her Tigger doll sitting on her lap...all in an attempt to get Hailey to sit directly on the potty herself. However, she seems to be PETRIFIED of the potty!! The one time she actually peed on it, it scared her, so she hasn't wanted to do it again.

Last night we made a BIG deal about going out and getting her "BIG GIRL PANTIES" She picked out the princess ones. The whole way home she wanted to wear them. Once we got home and Shawn explained to her that when she has her big girl panties on, she has to pee in the big girl potty....she FREAKED!

So please pray for us in our new adventure...I think we are going to take a break from this and let her come to us when she's ready...
