We went out to dinner for Ganny/Nanny's birthday at the Olive Garden. The story of her name is very funny. When Shawn was little he started out calling her Ganny and it stuck. When Hailey started talking, we still called her Ganny but Hailey couldn't pronounce her "G's" so she called her Nanny. So now, after 28 years, Ganny has graduated into Great-Grandmotherhood as "Nanny". Anyway, Hailey talks about Nanny & Pop Pop & their dog T.T. all the time. She talks about going to see them and talks about Aunt Debbie and every time she talks about them she reflects on the various times they've spent together, what they did, etc. When we were on our way to dinner at the Olive Garden, Hailey was very excited about getting to see Nanny. However, as soon as we walked in she became very shy and wouldn't even talk to them! She went the whole dinner being shy and wouldn't sit with them for a picture. Nana and Nanny took Hailey to the bathroom after dinner, and Hailey came back to the table telling me how silly Nanny was, but yet still would not give Nanny a hug good bye! Silly Hailey!!!!
Tyler was such a good boy at dinner. Everyone has been calling him Mini-Shawn because he looks so much like Shawn, but take a look of these pictures of Tyler with Pop-Pop. Since Shawn is already Mini-Pop-Pop, we'll have to call Tyler Mini-Mini-Pop-Pop!!!
